305 float level and recomended jets/rods/hanger
« on: September 13, 2016, 08:46:03 PM »
Hello everyone. I am a new member here, with a few novice questions. I have a 1984 chevy c-10 with a stock 305/th350c transmission that I just bought. The previous owner deleted all the emissions equipment, and installed a 17084226 q-jet. I am going to replace it because of a warped air horn. Replacing with an Edelbrock #1903. The old carb had 73 jets ,51m primary rods, and cp secondary rods with an E hanger. The float level is at 13/32 inch. I was wondering if these are the right parts for setting up a 305 ? Is the float level right? I have done a search, and have gotten 9/32, 11/32, and 13/32 inch float height . The Edelbrock will be rebuilt with a rebuild kit from cliffs, once I know what parts to order with it. THANKS

Call Cliff at his shop and he'll provide you with all the parts you need AS WELL as the correct metering stuff and info to be right on the money with that carb.  Frank.
