Main casting repair

Rebuilding a '78 Turbo Buick 3.8L Qjet and while removing the leaking secondary well plugs a part of the casting where the secondary rods go broke. I am wondering if there is a repair method for this? Welding, soldering? Would it be sufficient to just use Marine Tex to glue the broken piece in place? Hoping the casting is not scrap as finding a core may be an issue.

It doesn't look like there is enough material left to make an effective repair....Cliff

Cliff is the main body alumnium or zinc doe cast? I may try to just solder this piece back into place. Let me know. Thanks.
