Has anyone got some experience of what type of air cleaner to use? I presently have an open round element air cleaner, with a flat base. Wondering if a snorkel type would be better for some sort of colder air induction.

Any and all opinions and perspectives welcome,
Thanks,
Jason

Bringing in cooler outside air can help with power production.  My car has a Ram Air factory set-up (Shaker Hood) and all the air comes in from outside.  I don't drive the car in the Winter so it's never been an issue......Cliff

Thanks Cliff,

This will be a summer/fall vehicle as well. I shall proceed although my interest is more along the lines of reduced detonation sensitivity while running 87 octane (If I can get away with it) More power is not a bad thing ether.. but I want to run cheap gas for the every day driver if possible.
