17080204 Bottom of main body. upon teardown if there is a crusty, gooey mess around the front plugs, is that evidence they are leaking?
also what is the procedure to re-install broken dowel pins on the lower part of the main body?

Clean off the mess and pressure test the casting as described in my book. It's the only reliable method to determine if bottom plugs are leaking.
I also describe how to align the baseplate to the main body when the alignment pins are missing......Cliff
