Pretty much the equivalent of a 1979-80 Oldsmobile unit. It would take the same parts and tune in similar fashion.
Very nice unit, big CFM, APT, front inlet and convert easily to electric choke.
It's very close to the 1977 Pontiac carb I use on my own engine and it supports over 550hp. Nothing I've tested against it to date will outrun it, dyno or at the track........Cliff

... thanks Cliff
appreciate the feedback!
and
interestingly, a thought. Its got parts in it I bought from you .. maybe 7-8 years ago
(gasket sets, jets, hangers and APT springs)
it fuels a 5litre GM Holden V8 as pictured above.... in my '85 circuit race car( pic below)
Motorsport guys here go... wow running a Quaddie eh. You should run a Holley.
Naah.... this thing comes out of corners and out accelerates larger engined cars
on the race track. Impressive for a mildly modded carb.
The only real issue in the early days was fuel supply... fixed by installing larger 1/2" hardline
and a lift pump and surge tank (in addition to the fuel cell). Will hold 7000 rpm in 3rd gear
on long straights easy now...
Thanks again...
