Quadrants hard restart immediately after shutdown

Hello cliff. Carb no 17084284 on small block 350  with dual plane aluminum intake,towards hydraulic flat rapper cam 110991-08, 275 adv duration intake and exhaust,470 lift intake and exhaust,108 lsa, 104 icl ,stock vortec heads,headers,10.3:1 compression ratio.installed the kit and 76 jets and 50 rods,and pp spring I received from you.engine .engine runs strong,carburetor works good.my problem is when I shut the engine off and try to start it back up it won't fire up immediately.I have to crank the engine while it sputters again and again until it finally starts.float is set at 1/4 inch, no nozzle drip. Idle tubes .038,Dcr .061,upper lab .067,lower jab .075,upper main ab.117,main body ab .117,idle screws .096, idle air bp .112.

Does it act flooded?

Next time you shut it down quickly remove the air cleaner and see if there is any vapor come up out of the carburetor.

Did you leak test the casting during the rebuild process?...
