Hi,
Been a long time since I was on here, but I'm back with a question.
I'd really like a recommendation for a good intake for my 461 out of a 400. I'd -like- to be able to run my original factory intake ('69 GTO) but it's just not possible. This thing has Edlebrock RPM 72 heads that have had some work done, and my factory intake won't even cover the ports, let alone seal them. The only other manifold I have on hand is a T1, which I'm aware almost no one likes, so I'm asking for help.
Particulars:
* Service replacement 455 SD Qjet - a real one.
* 461 (4.160 X 4.25)
* Bullet solid roller: 251/257 @ 0.050, 110 lsa, 106 ICL, .620 net lift at the valves
* Edelbrock 72 CC round port heads, ported - 2nd gen with the improved plug location, but not the heart chambers.
* Dougs D567 headers
* 10.5:1 compression (D-shaped dishes)
* TH400
* Trisheild converter - 3200
* 3.50's in a Moser 9", wavetrac diff
It's a 69 GTO, weighs about 3900 with me in it.
Mostly street, occasional highway, once-in-a-blue-moon on the track.
I know my spreadbore choices are limited for these engines, and even more so for me personally due to my intake port dimensions. So, what's out there for this thing?
Thanks,
