The idle bypass air sizing is to compensate for a larger camshaft, what you can do is, with the carb on the bench, set the throttle blades with the curb idle screw so that a small portion of the transfer slot is exposed, then use the idle mixture screws to get a smooth idle. If the mixture screws cannot be adjusted to give a satisfactory idle, then the idle mixture screw holes need to be enlarged or additional bypass air is needed or both.
