Air Horn/ Top of Carb
« on: May 14, 2012, 06:54:22 PM »
Hello, I have an air horn that is pretty warped. Can I put it in a shop press and make it flat again?

Or can it be filed flat or sanded?

Thank You

Perry

They can be difficult to "flatten" in a press without cracking them.  I have a fixture designed for that purpose, and use heat to slowly bring them back flat again.

They can be carefully ran across a belt sander in the front to correct minor warpage issues, which is the best bet for most rebuilds.....Cliff
