Cam suggestion
« on: December 15, 2012, 03:48:32 PM »
Hi, I am about to convert a 1985 Delta 88 from 307 to 403.
While the 403 is out I want to get rid of the lame stock cam.
I have tried to find the best low-end cam with dynamic CR in mind.
With ~8.2:1 CR there aren't many cams to choose from.
I have my eyes on the comp cams dual energy 255/263 adv. on 110 lsa.
Intake closes at 53 degrees, which makes the DCR kind of on the low side.

Car is completely stock, it will get the aluminum 307 intake, a dual 2.5" full exhaust and maybe the heads milled .030 or .060.
200R4 and 2.73 gears. Cruiser!
I am NOT getting 7# 350 heads or the like. Staying low compression.
Any body have a cam suggestion that will make the most torque(don't care about hp figures)?
