1967 Camaro Quadrajet 7037202(AIR System)
« on: January 21, 2014, 09:37:46 PM »
Hello everyone- I was wondering if I could get some help. I have been looking for the correct quadrajet for my 1967 Camaro.  I recently purchased two 7037202 carbs.  The second one was purchased because the baseplate on the first one was questionable.  My question is what is the correct linkage for the secondaries.  As you can see in the photos, the two carbs have two different types.  Does anyone know their qudrajets pretty well or has photos of an un-molested 7037202.

Thank you,

Jerry

Thank you.  I have another questions.  The first is a picture of the other side of the first carb and the second is of the latter.  Here is the questions-are they both missing the vacuum tube that is affixed directly underneath the canceling cam (small hole) or did some 7037202s come without a tube (similar to 7027202).

Thank you,

Jerry

JJ:  The 7037202 is an air pump carb.  Most generally it is found in California.  The missing vacuum tube is still a question that I don't have the answer to.  But, the first picture that you show of the driver's side of the carb linkage looks correct, except for that small metal tab that is screwed to the linkage.  Those are generally used for a kick down switch for a turbo 400 trans.  The carb itself is listed for a 327and 350 c.i. 67 engine.  So, it appears that someone has added the kick down metal tab on the linkage.  As far as the missing vacuum tube is concerned, I would check to see if the carb has access to vacuum at that position.  If it is not in service I would leave it alone.  If it is connected to a hole or vacuum source, I would install a tube and cap it with a rubber cap or use it.  Thanks, billy2

JJ:  Disregard the part of my last post regarding the vacuum tube.  Apparently, I still had a different post that I read on my mind when I wrote to you.  "too many mind!"  billy2
