 I think it is trashed. Those gouges don't look great and I think it will be hard to seal with the gasket. I am sure there is something that would work, but I would worry about a vacuum leak. Just my opinion though.

You know, judging by the mating surface on the middle section, and after looking at photos in Cliff's book, pg. 29, 30 and 67, I don't think it is trash.  I can see where the 'ridge' on the mating surface hits and it should be good.

However, I will prep and bush a spare b.plate and have it ready, in case my theory turns to tuning nightmare with vacuum leaks.  Ha!

I was so confident that it was good I rebuilt another b.p.  It was for a turbo and the v.hole didn't go through, so I drilled it.  I also substituted a better suited t.shaft, bushed it, enlarged the mix holes to .090, drilled access to them larger, snipped off a ring of the mix screw springs, and mushroomed the end of the plate screws.  All good fun.

Compare the gaskets above and below it.  It may be OK, as there is a lot of extra material on those on the front side....Cliff
