Finally uploaded my idle mixture screw pics. What do you think?

well its been worked on . i dont recall them screws having screwdriver slots . later years have doudle d heads .check everything out real close when you take it apart .i seen some strange stuff people try to do. and ill bet cliffs seen about everything that can be done wrong and then some.if the idle holes are bored to big you may have to cut a rung of your springs to get the screws to seat.(not that there going to be seated when its built) i just like to know that they can be seated to control the idle fuel .fwiw

Nice carb, and a good choice for what you are doing.  Check the pull-offs to make sure they hold vacuum, and give us a call when you are ready for parts.  We stock both pull-offs, and kits for that carb number....Cliff

I suspect the fella (or a fella) that rebuilt it ran them in and adjuetd the idle screw up until it would idle ok.

So my next question,

I have a hot air style quadrajet that i want to swap to electric choke. I read that the vacuum passage between the choke housing and carb body needs blocked off. How are folks normally going about this? Thank you!

 Maybe soldering up the passage would be one way. I am sure there are other ways as well. Cliff will know.
