Fuel leaking out around primary shaft

When I turn off the car  a good amount of gas starts leaking out by the primary shaft area on the passenger side only. I lowered the float level slightly and put in a new needle but problem is still there any suggestions on what it could be?
Thanks

I just want to add it's a 7028268 carb, mechanical fuel pump, and was totally rebuilt recently and other than running a little rich{still being dialed in} it was fine. Must be flooding somewhere but can't seem to pin point it.

Mr.Pontiac:
Is the base plate bushed??? Can you fisically  move the primary shaft at all??? May iask did you reseat the check ball on the body of carb.??

Cliff Ruggles:
Leaking at the needle or at the gasket under the seat....Cliff

phk1967:
Yes, I can physically move the primary shafts. A new seat was made when it was rebuilt a few years ago and until recently the carb was fine. It was just sent Cliff's to get the fuel well plugs resealed as the primaries were leaking and I suspected that was the cause and I also put on a new seat gasket. Well I put it together, started it up and it's still leaks on both sides of the primary shafts when shut off. About the only thing I didn't do was reseat the checkball again, which I'm about to do next. Thanks for the help.
