need advice. received my kit and parts from cliff.i got an sr kit ,choke pull off,and new e.choke. started putting the carb back together and noticed the gasket between the throttle body and fuel bowl has a hole in the back. the gasket i removed does not.both holes in the back of the throttle body are plugged or capped. but i noticed there are holes it the fuel bowl that go directly to this hole which goes below the secondary plates. is this going to cause a problem? do i need a gasket without a hole? im waiting on power piston springs so i have a little time to get the other gasket if thats what i need.any help would be great. i only what to do it right the first time. thanks dean

forgot to add this carb still had the factory steel plugs in the idle mixture screw holes. i took 1/4 in. washers and welded them to the plugs. then welded 1/4 nuts to the washers and screwed a 1/4 bolt to the nut and pulled them out. i know thats more work and more time than slottting the base and driving them out like the book says but i like the finished look. i also purchased 4m.50 taps to chase the thread holes .thanks for writing the book cliff.its a blessing to the carburetor world.dean

I'll see if I can find that carb number in the shop and take a look at it.  The only hole I can think of would be to provide vacuum to the HIC (not used on most late model carburetors).....Cliff

cliff i tapped the base plate and put a 5/16 allen head plug in it and blocked the hole . i just used the gasket with the hole .tapped it just deep enough to get the screw flush and used bearing mount to hold it in place .thanks dean
