Base gaskets organic material vs. Phenolic resin
« on: February 19, 2012, 07:42:18 AM »
Have seen both types for sale on the net and have heard that the phenolic is supposed to be better by acting as a heat insulator to prevent the carb fuel from percolating in the bowl. Any truth to this?  All comments welcome.

I doubt it.  The thicker base gaskets are excellent insulators....Cliff
